The INSEAD Board of Directors, chaired by Dr Franz B. Humer, is responsible for overseeing strategic moves, financial decisions, budgets and end-of-year accounts and for appointing the Dean.
Today, the INSEAD Board is composed of 26 internationally recognised business leaders representing all industry sectors and a dozen different nationalities; over half are INSEAD alumni, and over a fifth are women.
Several Board Committees, appointed by and reporting to the Board, also involving representatives of the school's management and external experts, deal with more specific issues: the Audit and Finance Committee; the Endowment Management Committee; the Nomination and Governance Committee and the Remuneration Committee and, when appropriate, the Campaign Board, the Dean Search Committee and the Chairman Search Committee.
